Installing Nest Thermostat - Wiring question

redoctober203

I am trying to replace the thermostat in our home in FL with the Nest Thermostat (to be clear, its NOT the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest E thermostat). I did the compatibility check and selected all the wires I see connected before making the purchase

Current Thermostat setup
C - Blue wire
W- White wire
RH - Red jumper from RC
RC - Red wire from house then from here a jumper to RH
G - Green Wire
Y - Yellow Wire

The Google help docs keep talking about not needing a jumper since with Nest Learning Thermostats, RH and RC have an internal jumper, BUT the Nest Thermostat (which I was told is compatible) does not have a RC and RH only R.  So what do I do here? Thank you in advance for your replies.

You should just be able to connect your RC wire to R on Nest Thermostat and forget about the jumper wire. Here's how to wire it:

C - C
W - W
G - G
Y - Y
RC - R

When you power it on, it will tell you if anything isn't wired correctly.
