@Vinny98 ,
you have a simple two wire heating system only which operates on a 24 V AC base system so yes, your system is fully compatible with the basic nest thermostat. Unless you want the advanced features of a learning thermostat. So basically the answer is yes any nest thermostat will work for you. You don’t have a C wire so I would stay away from the learning series.

Okay great. When I was going through the app for the set up it said I needed the nest power adapter. Was I selecting the wrong wires on the setup or do I need the power adapter?

@Vinny98 ,
Since you purchased a thermostat for $180 you more than likely purchased a nest learning thermostat. You will require a power adapter and when you get it reach out to me and I will guide you through good connected up and it’ll go in your furnace area.

@Vinny98 ,
to install the power adapter quite frankly is pretty straightforward. If you look at the power of adapter, you have a group of two wires on one side and a group of three wires on the other side.
the group of three wires are going to be attaching to the control board, and the group of two wires is gonna attach to the thermostat. Cable
this is very important, make sure the power to the air handler furnace is turned off before you start making these connections or you can damage the power adapter.
first, disconnect the red wire from our on the control board of your furnace. It will be attached to the R of the group of two wires using a Wego connector
second, disconnect the W wire from the control board and connect it to the second of the two wires is labeled Y*R. Again, using a Wego connector.
now we attach the group of three wires to the control board
first connect the cable marked R to the R terminal on the control board. Next connect the cable of the group of three that’s marked C to the sea terminal on the control board. And lastly connect the Y * W cable to the W terminal on the control board.
at this point the power adapter is now connected properly. Turn the power back on, go to your thermostat and verify that it’s working
