Two days ago, the display of my nest thermostat stopped displaying -- almost like it's dead. It will only turn back on if I pull the thermostat off the base for at least 30 seconds and then put it back on. It stays on for about 15 secs then is "dead" again. It has the internal rechargeable battery, has flashing green light so believe it is fully charged. I've tried to update the software on the thermostat, but it repeatedly says "will update later". I've restarted the thermostat a number of times as well.
At the same time, the app stopped connecting to the thermostat. Both thermostat and app are connected to house wifi, but app remains offline. I've signed out of the app a number of times and deleted and reinstalled the app a number of times. Nothing seems to work.
