Logging in to Nest App

I can't log in to my Nest app, despite entering the email I used to register. When I click "forgot password" I never receive an email. I tried to then login via Google, but when I did that and tried to connect my actual thermostat, the settings on the thermostat just said "this thermostat is already connected to an account" and I couldn't pair it. Any suggestions?

As just another Google Nest customer, I'm confused about what's happening to you.

If you selected "Sign in with Google" in the Google Nest app and were able to sign in with your Google Account, then that means your Nest Account was migrated to your Google Account at some point in the past. From then on, you should have been using "Sign in with Google".

In the Google Home app, when you say you "tried to connect to my actual thermostat", what exactly did you do? If you tried to add or install the thermostat and got a message saying the thermostat is already connected to another account, then your thermostat may be installed or connected to another Nest Account or Google Account.

I'm trying to understand what happened when you said "I can't log into my Nest app." If you selected "Sign in with Nest" and entered your old Nest Account credentials, it should have failed. When you tried to log onto the Google Nest app, what error message did you get that prompted you to conclude your password was wrong? When was the last time you logged onto the Google Nest app?
