Moving home. Need to delete Nest (old home) from my Account

Hi. 

How do I remove / delete my Nest thermostat from my Google account as I am moving home shortly and leaving the Nest  system for the new owner. 

I have the Nest app loaded on my Android cell phone.

1. First, remove the product from the Nest app.
2. Then, reset the thermostat to factory defaults.
