My Nest thermostat does not show up on the Nest app. It is installed and the software is updated

My Nest thermostat is no longer showing up on the Nest app.  My thermostat is installed, the software is up to date, my router/modem has been restarted.  I've followed all the steps and nothing has changed.

You can do the factory reset on your nest thermostat and it will tell you to complete the install on the Home App. You can add a new device on the app (nest thermostat) and the app will ask you to scan the QRC code on the back of your nest thermostat (remove the nest and look at the back). There rest should be self-explanatory.

How do I do a factory reset?  I've tried adding a new device on the app only to be told it is already installed.

On the settings, go to the last option -- Factory Reset.
