I need help wiring up my nest thermostat with a heat pump.  Thermostat Wiring.jpgI am looking to replace a Honeywell Non-Programmable Thermostat with a Nest Thermostat E.  I currently have a heat pump.  Not sure if it is a 2 stage Heat Pump.  I do have an EM HEAT setting on the Honeywell but I am not sure that the Nest Thermostat E is compatible.  any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have attached a copy of the Wiring for the Honeywell Thermostat for Reference.

Please Help.

Your heat pump has a auxiliary/emergency heat..

Turn the power off for the HVAC air handler.

Remove the old thermostat.

Mount the nest wall plate.

On the Nest wall plate

The White conductor will go on E/AUX on the Nest.

The Orange wire goes on the O/B.

The Green wire goes to G

The Yellow wire goes on the Y

The Red wire goes to Rc

The Blue wire goes to the C

Thanks CoolingWizard,

I don't have a E/AUX on the Nest.  Would the White Wire go on the W1 ?

I attached a copy of what my NEST looks like with regards to the Wiring.

Are there any settings I will need to change on the NEST setup with regards to the Heat Pump?

Thanks Again!

On the Thermostat-E put the Aux/E on the W1.
