Hi I have a 3rd gen nest thermostat. Recently installed. When it was first installed it worked fine but now it won’t find a wifi connection.

nothing has changed so I don’t understand. It searches for a connection but won’t find any no matter how close I am to the hub. It also will not find my phone if I try a hotspot.

this is frustrating please help

Any error codes like W5?

No no error codes. It simply attempts to search for wifi connections and doesn’t find any.

I’ve tried all the suggestions. Resetting. Moving closer. Nothing works.

Sadly a common problem, usually wifi faults come up with the W5 problem, then you know it's duff.

You should be able to pick up the wifi within 10 seconds or so, and if longer then pretty sure faulty chip. You have tried all the obvious I expect, and if you cannot see any wifi could well be faulty.

Try resetting network in settings twice, then try an update software in that order. Worth a try, has worked.

You say it's recenlty installed, I would get the installer back or return to the retailer. Much quicker than waiting for a reply on here to be honest.
