Nest Connect - Heat Link / Thread range extender

Hi

Im looking to extend the range of the Heat Link connection between my Thermostat E room pedestal and the Heat Link base station that is positioned closer to the boiler controller.  Though they are only 10m apart there are 2 x1m thick rubble walls between them (it's an old farm house) which makes the radio connection unreliable and sensitive to atmospheric conditions.  Ironically it works well in the summer months but frequently drops connection in cold weather.

After much internet searching..

( this was useful;  https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9249088#zippy=%2Clearn-about-thread-networks%2Chow-nest...

.. the answer seems to be using Google Nest Connect to extend the Nest mesh network, but this doesn't appear to be available to buy any longer.  I don't want/need any of the other Nest products as I already have full house Wifi coverage and a fully integrated smoke alarm system.

I may have misunderstood the latest product range / philosophy .. does anyone have ideas how the Heat Link range could be extended?

Thank you

Steve

I could move the heat link base, but this will require wiring through the rubble walls - if I need to go that route I'd rather replace with a fully wired solution.

Hey @CaptFiasco,

Thank you for letting us know about your issue. You can indeed extend the Wi-Fi range for the thermostat, but unfortunately the weave connection between the thermostat and Heat Link can't be extended. The solution to this is bringing them closer, although I understand that is a bit inconvenient to you. Let me know if you have any other questions
