Nest Learning Thermostat flashing orange and green and screen is blank

I have a Nest Learning Thermostat gen3 that suddenly stopped working.

It is flashing orange and green, the screen is blank, the AC is not working, and it is not connected to my house WiFi.

This is a big problem because this is in my Arizona house, where the temps are 110C daily, but I am in Boston and won't be back to the house until November. I don't have physical access to the unit other than to ask a neighbor to stop by and see what the Nest is doing.

I need this fixed asap. I am not physically there to mess with the unit. How can this be fixed before everything in my house gets cooked!?

PS my neighbor says the Nest is flashing 6 times green, very quickly, one time orange, and then back to green again. It's 110F in the house, not 110C - that would be hot!

I am in Missouri and having the same issue. I also get a low battery signal once in a while and the ac unit works randomly for a second and turns off again or will just stay in all day and I come home to a 60°F house.
I am looking for a solution but I think a warranty claim is best.

Unfortunately I bought this house two years ago and the Nest was already in place. I have no idea if it is under any kind of warranty and have no documentation on this item. I think I just have to buy a new one and get someone to install it. Not easy to do from the other side of the country and quite disappointing in that the whole reason for one of these items is so you don't have to worry about your house when you are away.

Hey Joel

I would do two things if I were you.
if you neighbor is a little technical at all could replace the thermostat for you with a basic one.

or you have them charge it or replace the batteries  depending on the model. Then get on chat or in the phone with customer support to help you trouble shoot the error or get a warranty replacement. regardless you will probably have to install a basic thermostat for now. They are so simple and ver intuitive to mess with.

I can't figure out how to get on the phone with customer support, which is why I am posting on this forum.
