Hello Ryan G and MelbaDT,
This is really just a post script to the original Nest Power Connector compatibility post. That discussion is closed now, but maybe you can add this to the end of that one for me.
Here is the update…. Based on the information that MelbaDT and Ryan G provided, I was confident that I could put the original Honeywell “dumb” thermostat back in without removing the Nest Power Connector or disconnecting any of the 5 wires. So I was finally able to try this today and it worked as you said it would: the original Honeywell thermostat worked fine with the Nest Power Connector left in place. Thank you for your assistance on this!
