Recently installed Google Nest Thermostat. The thermostat functions correctly, but over last few days the display setting has changed and is almost unreadable in high light setting. In order to read thermostat I must shine a light on the thermostat to increase the display brightness. How can this be corrected?
Model: Thermostat-1.4. Software version: 1.1-11

Hi McClannon,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the brightness of your Nest Thermostat. You can adjust it by going your thermostat's Settings > Equipment > Brightness. You can select low, medium, high, or auto.
If you have a Nest Thermostat E, brightness is adjusted automatically.
Thanks,
Edward

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, this Nest model does not have a brightness option under the equipment settings.

Hi McClannon,
Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, is the display's brightness lower than usual? To isolate the issue, could you try rebooting your Nest Thermostat?
Thanks,
Edward

The thermostat is bright and readable in low light setting. When overhead lights are on (brighter), the display is dim and unreadable.
The thermostat has been reset multiple times as well as a factory rest and reconfigured.
