Installed a Nest Thermostat v1.4, which appallingly there is so little supporting information and it doesn't work with the Nest App.
Irrespective, within 2 days, the OEM batteries showed "Low Battery." So I replaced them with good alkalines, and now they show "Low Battery" with a level of 3.14v.
Can a moderator point me in the direction of why this is? I understand what a c-wire does, but I read that these batteries are not rechargeable anyway, which would make the c-wire meaningless, I believe.
(BTW, Google should change the name of the "Nest Thermostat" to something like "Nest Thermostat Basic" to be able to more effective search to get these answers.)
Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. I found an article with more details. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
