Nest learning thermostat links then goes straight offline

The nest and heat link work fine but does not connect/stay connected to the app. When resetting it will link and then go immediately to offline, we fitted a second unit and the same happened. We have since fitted the original unit into another property and done a full reset and it is working perfectly and ideas TIA.
