As stated above I have my thermostat set to 73F. My indoor temp on the Nest is reading 76F and yet my heat is turning on and running anyway. Any ideas why that would be? It actually doesn’t feel 76F in here and the temp outside is 49F. Could my Nest be misreading? Is there a way to recalibrate it?

Hi. Thanks for the reply I ended up calling the help number because this was a little crazy with the heat kicking on when it was a warm day and my setting was for 73F. They had me reset the thermostat. Thanks for the article but none of the headings I could see from your link addressed this particularly perplexing issue. Even the Google nest phone guy was confused. Resetting the device fixed it for now so I’ll be on the look out if it happens again. It’s funny I have a T6 (other brand) thermostat for my other zone and I’ve had zero issues with it. This has been installed for about a month and already it’s getting wonky. I have also read of problems on here from other customers. Not sure how long I’ll put up with it if there’s more issues. Here’s hoping I don’t have to make a change.
Edit to add: The T6 also has an app and a simple schedule you can change from your phone. An additional feature it has that the Nest doesn’t is that I can turn just the fan on the system without having to have heat or cooling engaged like the Nest requires. This is a simple feature that Google should consider adding as a software update. Sometimes I just want to circulate the air on a nice spring or fall day when the natural temp is comfortable. Maybe pass that along to IT? Honestly not being able to have the fan go on alone in my main level where the Nest is might be enough to push me to another T6.
