Can anyone help me out with wiring? I have a 2 stage furnace and I believe 1 stage central AC. Trying to use the regular nest thermostat

Yes you have 2 stage heating.

White W1 to W

Black W2 to the OB*

Red to R

The Yellow to Y

Green to G

If you have an extra unused wire in the wall (blue is preferred color if you have one) put it on C and then on the furnace connect it to the COM screw that will be your C wire.

It might work ok without the C but always best to connect one if you can.

Then during the setup tell the Nest the OB* wire is for 2nd stage heating (Do Not set up as a Heat Pump).
