Hi, so my nest thermostat (on a stand) is losing charge rapidly! It was flashing red and wouldn't turn on yesterday so I disconnected it and plugged it straight into a USB which charged it up (left it on charge for 2 hours) put it back on the stand and within 6 hours it's dead again.
I have checked the USB connection in the stand and it's all good....I've used that same USB cable and plug (same plug socket as well) to charge it independent of the stand and that has given supposedly full charge
I'm at a loss of what to do and it's really frustrating
Help!

Hey Steph,

Having trouble with your thermostat keeping a charge is not ideal, sorry this is the case. Let's jump in and ensure the device is working properly. Couple of things to check for us to further isolate the issue:
  • How long did you charge using the USB?
  • Do you have a common wire connected?
  • Can you share a photo of your current wiring?
Please let me know, so I can take a closer look.
