We bought a new house and have two nest thermostats one worked whilst one will not connect to the WiFi or after trying a reset won’t power up!
I can’t get hold of anyone and it’s so annoying what can I do?

@Jpreston30 , at least there is some good news and that is at least the owner that sold you the house gave you access to the nest thermostats and didn’t have them locked up with a four digit pin. So we need to determine if the problem with the Wi-Fi is the thermostat itself or the fact that your Wi-Fi access point is too far away. As for the power again we need to test Using a voltmeter and measure between the R wire and the C wire. You should measure approximately 24 V of AC power.

@Jpreston30 , if this is part of a “new build” you should have a home warranty with the builder. Report a warranty claim for and non-functioning HVAC system. They should send out the HVAC company that installed the system. The Contractor can replace it under warranty. The Nest Thermostat cones with a 1-year warranty. If the HVAC contractor; like myself, is a certified Nest Pro, the warranty will be 3-years.
