I recently received emails from Baltimore Gas & Electric offering Nest thermostats at No Charge except for Taxes & Shipping. I went through the checklist to find out if I was eligible and one of the questions was whether I had Wi-Fi access to which I answered YES because I have Wi-Fi on my Xfinity/Comcast Modem.
After receiving the thermostats and reading the installation instructions it sounds like I need a cellphone to get the APP. However, I DO NOT have one. So, I found this Forum hoping to find the answer BEFORE I take off my current Thermostats and install these NESTS. I'm worried that perhaps after doing so I'll find that I need a Cellphone service. I use Mozilla/Firefox as my browser.
Thanks, in advance, to anyone who cares to respond.

Nest Thermostats require an Android or iOS device with the Nest app or Google Home app (depending on the model) for setup. You cannot set them up using a computer, unfortunately.
