Power

My nest thermostat is powered 240 volt plugged into a socket . Am I able to plug it into a USB port on my smart tv to power the nest instead of using a plug socket ? Just looking at freeing up another plug socket

Hi @Chewynewy. If the TV's USB port provides 5V - 1 Amp, it should be fine. But keep in mind that if you turn off the TV, it could turn off power to the thermostat. Be sure to check if your TV has the option to provide power to USB ports when turned off.

All seems to be working OK running from the USB port at the back of the TV. No issues so far . Fingers crossed . Thanks for the replies
