Single Y/Y2 Wire on Old Thermostat

MUHZOMBEHS

My old thermostat had a single wire for Y and Y2.. labeled Y/Y2.. I'm assuming I just wire it up to the Y port on the Google Nest thermostat, but it's not cooling properly.

Should it be wired into the Y2 port? Any help is greatly appreciated. Kinda hot these days lol.

Did you ever figure this out?

I did. Can't even remember what fixed at this point haha but it works. Thank you for checking in though!

Ha, it was a selfish ask because I had the same question. I put it on Y1 though and everything worked perfect

Hello everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiries. I wanted to ensure that everything was covered here.

How's your Nest Thermostat? I suppose that this was a new installation, is that right? To be sure of the configuration, could you please share with us photos of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup?

Regards,
Mark
