I have zero idea what I’m doing. I’m not sure whether to use the top row of labels to look up compatibility or the lower half? (Conventional or the latter?) I ended up trying to put it in and made my best guess, set it to cool and it started to use the heat! I did something so wrong lol. Can someone help me? There’s a video attached of the wires.
from left to right: the ones are W2, G, W, C, Y, and R with a jumper to R2.

Looks like your system is a Heat Pump AC so you need to use the lower markings if that is the case.
The Orange wire is what controls the reversing valve in the system to make it change from heat to ac.
Did you tell the Nest you have a Heat Pump when you set it up and it asked what type of system?

Do you have the Nest thermostat (not the learning version) ?
You can go to the Home app and go to settings, scroll to Heat Pump, if O option is highlighted change it to B, if B is highlighted change it to O.
Try it again to see if the AC and heat work correctly.
If you have the Learning Nest, you do the same changes but you do it on the thermostat display not with the app.
