Thermostat couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi (according to the app)

My Nest thermostat is set up and working.  I also connected it to the Wi-Fi.  All good so far.

Then I downloaded the Nest app and scanned the QR code.  Under, “Install and set up your thermostat,” I selected, “Already installed.”  The app found my Wi-Fi network, which I then selected and entered the password.  As soon as I clicked on, “Next,” the app said, “Something went wrong.  Your thermostat couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi.”

I have tried this many times, double checking the password and restarting the thermostat, but each time I get the same result.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

We're sorry to hear that you are having this difficulty while using the Nest app. Have we tried downloading the Google Home app and log in using the same email?
