Wiring power connector to lennox furnace

I am trying to wire the power connector to my old Lennox G8D2-55-1 furnace. No c wire so using the transformer. The diagram from the advanced install download is a little generic. Wondering if someone has some insight. I'm attaching pictures of the wiring diagram and the inside of the furnace.

You need to be careful. You are dealing with line voltages. The transformer has two sides, the Primary and the secondary.  You will need to ensure the secondary side needs to be approximately  24 Volts AC.  The two wires of the secondary side would be the LINE and COMMON. The key is two keep them consistent. That is, the wire chosen for COMMON, is always COMMON.  And, you need to find the one in your Lennox system that is used as the common and which is used as the LINE.  Then use the Volt Ohm Meter and check the voltage of the secondary side.
