how do I get google mini to control my thermostat

I've linked a help centre article below that explains how to do that. Specifically, refer to the "Control thermostats" section of the help article.

Now I get a message that the living room is not available now. I most have something wrong in my settings?

Can you see your thermostat in the Home app? If not:

Say "Hey Google" or "Ok Google," then "Sync my devices"
