new Nest Connection - wire question

KLunsford
Community Member

We are connecting a new Nest Thermostat and transitioning from a Honeywell Pro T6 thermostat.  We had 7 wires on the Honeywell.  On the Honeywell system, they are labelled as follows:  Yellow wire plugged into Y, Green wire plugged into G, Blue wire plugged into C, Orange wire plugged into unlabeled space, Black wire plugged into W2, White wire plugged into unlabeled space, Red wire plugged into R.

Our Question:  When connecting these wires into the new Nest, where do the Orange wire, the Black wire and the White wires connect into the Nest connections?

It's best to post a picture of how the original thermostat is wired. The color of the wire is mostly meaningless as there is no standard.

Hey KLunsford,

Thanks for reaching out.

What Patrick_Caezza has mentioned, it is best to see the actual photo of your current wire configurations.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Ryan
