Sorry to hear about your Nest Sensors but thanks for posting on the Google Nest Community. 

Sometimes a range issue or wireless interference can cause your sensor to disconnect from your thermostat and appear offline on your Nest app. If this happens, try the suggestions below:

• Move your sensors a bit closer to your thermostat. Sometimes they may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if they're just a bit too far away.
• Restart your router.
• Check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the sensor and your thermostat. These items could block the connection. For more help, read Troubleshooting wireless interference.
• Check the battery charge.

All 3 of my sensors went offline simultaneously as well. I removed the sensors, deleted my thermostat and reset it back to factory. I then added the sensors back. Worked fine for about 3 days and now they are all offline again.

Is my thermostat bad? I have the same set up at another home and have NEVER had any problem.

UPDATE - 

I contacted GoogleNest support and they had an easy step that fixed my problem without having to reset to factory.

Go into your thermostat setting and all the way at the end is RESET, click the ring to navigate to RESTART. That brought all my sensors back on line. Quick and easy!!

I have the same issue. All 3 of my sensors went offline at different times and I have did the same steps you described and nothing, and app says batteries are ok

All three of my sensors went offline also, simultaneously. These sensors are of course in different locations and have not moved. Your solutions seem to be geared more-so towards a single sensor randomly going offline. Is there an underlying cause that you can share on why 3 sensors would go offline at the same time?

Hi - I solved the issue by removing the sensors from the thermostat, deleting the thermostat, and resetting it then re-installing the thermostats and sensors.   If they go offline simultaneously it is not a local issue..

I have seen this factory reset issue proposed as a solution in several places; unfortunately, I have also seen at least one example from  @Raffi30 of where the problem happened again after performing what amounts to a full factory reset... I will continue to look for an alternative solution...  Maybe it is time for me to upgrade to a WiFi6 router...

Got the same issue, all 3 sensors went offline at the same time. I've tried all suggestion remove/reset/re-install..etc still no luck. I've contacted Nest support, till tier-2 support still no luck. They decided to send replacement for me... now waiting for the new sensors.

This just happened on my WiFi 6e router system. It’s the Nest product. They’re inconsistent and stop working randomly and the well-intentioned “move the sensors a little closer” solution is insulting, in my opinion. That’s NOT the solution when you ah e 6 that work perfectly fine and then one day, they ALL go offline simultaneously.

A2Landlord I've been struggled with this issue for while and finally got them all working as of last three weeks ago. I have 4 thermostats and 3 sensors.

1st thermostats -> I've asked for a replacement -> they did replace -> worked

2nd, 3rd and 4th thermostats -> still can't connect to any of sensors -> I've asked to replace them all -> no replacement, but they did something on their backend/server -> restarted -> worked..

Something happened at their servers there, they didn't explain me well.

I am now encountering this problem I have factory reset the thermostat with the .dropbox file I kept from when I locked myself out and Google provided it to me. Just happens again a couple days later.

Just now i tried the Restart solution. Nothing.   This is getting annoying that I may go back to my Ecobee Lite that I haven't yet sold off.   It came with 1 sensor that never went offline and is all I really wanted, but google just sells the 3 pack, I guess.

I have had the same problem repeatedly. The simple reset does not fix the problem. I’ve had to do the full factory reset and then within 2 to 3 days all three sensors go off line again simultaneously. This is obviously a product problem and it appears that Google is not willing to fix the issue. I most definitely will be looking at the ecobee or other smart thermostat. Google will continue to Get a thumbs down rating from me

I am in the same boat as you. A full reset required, which I Again just did. But, Since I haven't been able to sell off the Ecobee 3 Lite with one sensor that NEVER gave me these problems, The next time I have to reset this Nest crap, it will be to sell it. 🙂

Same issue.  I've tried all the suggestions and even bought a new sensor.  It keeps disconnecting. The sensor worked in its location for years before this started occurring.

I had some hope this was happening because they were making changes on their side, as the sensors were showing additional data. But then it happened again yesterday. I defaulted it, uninstalled it, put it all back in their original boxes and put it up for sale. I put my Ecobee Lite 3 with 1 sensor back. It was insanity for me to buy that nest. As you said, absolute garbage.

But, hey , if anyone is interested in a like new setup, only used for a few months, Let me know. 🙂

I have been thinking about switching as well.  I have had Nest ecosystem in my house for over 6 years now.  I am very close to throwing all the cameras, everything up on Ebay and canceling my services.  The past two years I have had nothing but issues, Cameras dropping with no explanation, even with my "Nest Wifi" Mesh covering the entire area.

I was selling that ecobee. No bites at all....until the day I reinstalled it, someone said they'd buy it. LoL.   I only was interested as I allowed myself to get caught up in all the Home assistant stuff with nest hubs and some of those lenovo clocks (and 5 nest mini 2's in a cabinet because I quit using them and they are worth nothing). All Smartswitchs and outlets. A bunch of routines. The whole dealio 🙂

Just today had this exact same issue. All 3 sensors went offline simultaneously. I used the RESET option first published by Luvs2Bake on this thread and they are all three back on-line. Fingers crossed 🤞 that they stay that way.

I will probably jinx myself for saying this but for about the last month my three sensors have stayed online. Now I bet they go offline 😂
