Boosting google wifi with Amplifi mesh

Hi, I have google wifi and google mesh. But I want to change my mesh to Amplifi. Is it possible to change it from nest wifi pro to amplifi? I was using amplifi for spectrum internet before and it was better. So I want to keep the google wifi but change the mesh. Possible?

Hey @Omer1453 .

Google/Google Nest Wifi products are not compatible with other mesh systems so connecting an Amplifi mesh will not work; this is the same for nearly all mesh systems. You will need to replace the entire system with Amplifi if you want to use their mesh.

What issues are you having with the Google Wifi in comparison that makes the Amplifi mesh better? Are you having issues? If so, what are they? We may be able to assist so you get the best experience possible with your Nest Wifi Pro setup.

Hello, I have IPTV app in my I phone app. After switching from Spectrum to google wifi with nest pro, this app stopped working in my i phone while connected to wifi. I turn off my wifi, use cellular then it works. I go to a coffee shop, use their wifi, it works. I am having trouble with google wifi.

Is it just that one app that you are having issues with?

Yes. But this app works fine with other wifi connections.

Hey @Omer1453 .

If that app is the only one affected, it is likely a setting that is enabled on the Google Wifi.

Toggle off the below one at a time, test, and re-enable if there is no change:

• WPA3
• IPv6
