Hi I tried connecting using an IOS device but couldn't add the new GB-bought Mesh point and search results suggested using Android device. This now shows a 'Out of range error"! I have tried switch router and mesh off and restarting but had no luck. I am very reluctant to factory reset the older devices given the trouble adding a new device with Google Home. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Mixing equipment made for different regions/ countries does not work due to differences in Wi-Fi regulations. See for instance:
This is hard coded into the units and can't be changed, not by us consumers anyways. Best you can do is to sell the UK units to UK people, and buy US units.

Thanks olavrb for a very comprehensive and clear answer. I am in the UK but bought the Mesh in the US so I think I need to return the UK item and accept the very slight limitations I have with coverage. It's nice to know the reasons behind all the troubles I had with trying to get the puck to mesh with my system. The system works extremely well an outside Ring floodlight camera gets quite a weak signal - c'est la vie!

Hey, JimmyMac.
It looks like olavrb was able to sort this one out for you, but I wanted to check in real fast to see if there's anything else you need here. If you're still needing some help, just let me know and I'll be happy to jump in.
Thanks.
