Connecting Surface Pro 3 to wifi

Litepack
Community Member

I have connected my Surface Pro to the network before and it will connect to other wifi Hotspots. When I try and connect to my Google wifi I get the message "checking network requirements" for a few seconds and then, "can't connect to this network".

Is there a setting or option to block devices in the Google Home app? Or is there anyplace in the home app I can check and see the connection is made and why it failed?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You can pause and unpause devices. See the "Pause and resume a specific device" steps here:
Pause the internet on demand or on a schedule - Google Nest Help

There's no Home app feature or setting to troubleshoot failed connections unfortunately. If other devices connect without issue, try forgetting the network on your Surface Pro?

  1. Type Settings on the search box.
  2. Click Network & Internet.
  3. Click Wi-Fi on the left pane of the Network & Internet window.
  4. Click Manage Wi-Fi settings.
  5. Select the network name and click Forget.
  6. Try connecting to your Wi-Fi network again.
