Hi
I have a mesh network consisting of one router and two points.
I have noticed that any device remains connected to one mesh node and it doesn’t connect to the closest mesh node. For example, if I’m in the basement and I’m connected to the basement mesh node, if I move to second floor, my device keeps connecting to the same node. The connection will show as week connection. If I disconnect the device and reconnect it, it connects to the closer node. Is this how the google mesh should work? I saw other mesh networks from other vendors where they claim that you get connected to the node with best connection as you move seamlessly.

See @MichaelP's replies in the topic below concerning the same question. It might be worth checking your physical setup to see if that could be contributing to this kind of behaviour.

I just wanted to jump in real fast to see if you saw davidking's reply and link to the other thread and to see if you still needed some help on this or if you were able to get it sorted out. If you are still needing some help, just let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping.
Thanks,

Good to hear, YousefJ.
I'll go ahead and mark this one as resovled, but before I do, do you have any additional questions or is there anything else I can help out with?
Thanks,
