Pretty simple set up of original google home network, been working for years until recently
Office-Wifi connected to ISP modem, Model AC1304, software version 14151.43.81
FamilyRoom-Wifi mesh connection, Model AC1304, software version 14151.43.81
Both the devices were purchased from google in a 3 pack.
First issue, a few months ago, I don’t know the exact date but may have coincided with the forced switch to Google Home App; FamilyRoom-Wifi point starts going offline, at least it says so in the “home” app, and stays offline until re-boot/power-cycle. Note the Google Home App notification says the FamilyRoom-Wifi point is offline but the lights on the device don’t indicate a problem. What’s up with that?
Second issue, 2 Roku devices within 4 feet of FamilyRoom-Wifi point, the Home app shows device 1 excellent connection 2.4ghz, but shows a weak connection 5ghz for device 2. Device 1 is a relatively new Roku stick (2.4ghz) device 2 (5ghz) is a TCL Roku TV. Note, device 2 shows it has an "Excellent" connection while the Home app shows weak. What’s up with that?

You are correct @rrrccc57
after force closing the Google home app it reappeared. Like others I’m leaving this alone for now. My internet is working fine and I have better things to do with my life :). Hopefully Google can reproduce this and fix this on a future version. Thanks again!

Thanks Jeff!
I tried it 2 or 3 times. I never found a save button, but I think it saves automagically.
It didn't work...but the network is up and good.

That worked (with ipv6 back off) thanks!
09-25-2022 06:51 AM
spoke too soon… inky worked for an hour or so…
09-11-2022 01:58 PM
Did not work Jeff. Are your support guys looking into this, as it truly is an irritant that the home app on the iPad does not work properly.
09-22-2022 07:39 AM
I just bought mine and I am having the same issue when I go onto the Google Home app it says that I’m off-line if I actually click on the router it shows that I am online and one point connected. If I do the speed test it reports back to me but if I try to talk to the point even it is not working. I don’t know what is going on or how to fix it

If you want a fix I suggest returning and buying something with real support, you won't get support from Google

In your app, go into the “help” section and then “contact us” for assistance via chat or call . Fill out the questionnaire and problems your are experiencing. This community page doesn’t and can’t fix this type of issue
09-12-2022 06:46 PM
That fixed the issue I was having in the app where the 3 routers showed offline even though they were working. Thanks.
09-12-2022 08:11 PM
Well I spoke to soon. Fixed it for a short time and back to the issue of not working in the app.
09-15-2022 05:48 PM
It does not work any other solutions available.
09-20-2022 05:52 AM
It worked for a second then went back to disconnected status. again devices are actually working but show offline in Google Home app
09-22-2022 06:39 PM
That worked! Thank you.
09-24-2022 10:03 AM
Yes, that worked for me. Thanks.
09-25-2022 09:08 AM
This trick worked for me
09-25-2022 09:34 AM
Problem will be back in less than a day
09-25-2022 09:56 AM
Yeah you’re right, it was back within the hour.
10-05-2022 08:25 PM
Did the IPv6 trick work for you? Mine was off and I toggled it on and off and didn't work. We moved and switched from Spectrum to Xfiniti with an interstate move and the problem hasn’t resolved since.
10-05-2022 08:48 PM
It will work only for a few hours before the issue comes back again.
10-05-2022 10:13 PM
Unfortunately It did not.
10-03-2022 05:13 PM
Thanks Jeff. This worked for me.
10-03-2022 05:38 PM
I bet by tomorrow it's back
10-08-2022 07:35 AM
Hi @Jeff, same results here. I’m going to try one of the more recent suggestions. Thanks’
10-16-2022 05:55 PM
That worked right away, the first time. Next time I checked the app it wasn’t working anymore and hasn’t worked again since
10-23-2022 07:43 PM
Turning on IPv6 does not resolve the issue.
05-19-2022 12:26 PM
Hey, all.
This is just a follow up to make sure you saw my last reply. If you're still having issues and haven't given that a try, do so and let me know if you are having problems still.
Thanks.
05-19-2022 12:33 PM
Thanks for the update! I've tried this and it seems to help! Appreciate the follow-up!

I read your solution to late, I factory reset the 3 rogue AP’s and so far all 6 remain online.
06-26-2022 09:13 AM
I am not able to turn IPv6 on to then turn it back off. I think it's because my primary device shows offline in Home, but it isn't. Due to this issue I am also not able to complete the mesh test.
08-26-2022 06:36 PM
all four routers just say Loading... after turning on the IPv6 and restarting the app on my iphone.
08-28-2022 05:22 PM
Toggling IPV6 did not solve this as of Aug 28 for me. Additionally all of my linked ecobee devices and LG devices have this same bug.
09-05-2022 12:04 AM
Yes, my LG appliances are always offline, even in the LG ThinQ app. Not sure if it's related.
09-05-2022 12:44 AM
Same for me
08-28-2022 07:36 PM
I have three Google WiFi (one of those is the router) and also one Google Nest. The app indicates “offline” for all the WiFi in one place but “good connection” on another page of the app. Only the Nest device shows “online”. Changing IPv6 switch has no effect.
09-05-2022 12:47 AM
Exactly. How can "offline" devices have "good" connections and can show fast results for mesh testing?
09-03-2022 09:43 AM
Still having issues
09-04-2022 10:02 AM
Your suggestions about turning ipv6 on and off did not work for me (or for many others).
09-06-2022 07:30 AM
Just tried it and so far so good had to keep reloading app but all are showing blue and online hopefully it will stay that way, than you!
09-06-2022 11:50 PM
This is still an issue. Bug has not been fixed…
10-03-2022 10:06 PM
That worked only for a couple of hours, then they were back off-line
10-05-2022 08:25 PM
Still having issues Jeff. That didn’t work for us.
