How to limit access to just one Nest x Yale lock

I have an Airbnb on my property and use a Nest x Yale lock for it. I also have 2 of the locks for my house. When I create a passcode for an Airbnb guest, their code also works on my home locks - how can I limit them to just the lock for the Airbnb?

Yes, you'll need to move that lock to a separate "home" in the Nest app. To do that:

  1. Remove the Nest × Yale Lock from the Nest app.
  2. Reset your lock to factory defaults.
  3. At the top left corner of the app home screen, tap the down arrow.

  4. At the top right corner, tap the + icon and tap Continue.

  5. Give your Airbnb home a name and then tap Next.

  6. Enter it's address and then tap Next when you're finished.

  7. Choose if you want to use your phone’s location to help with Home/Away Assist for your new home. If you have a non-migrated account, you’ll be asked if you want to invite other people to share access to your new home. If you don’t, you can always invite them later.

  8. Once done, select your Airbnb home and connect the lock back to the Nest app.

Is the lock at your Airbnb property in the same "home" in the Nest app as the locks at your home?

Yes, it is. Is it possible to have two separate homes in the app?

This is a real issue especially if you are managing more than 5 properties than the work around does not work.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue! I am afraid that besides the steps that @David_K posted, there is no such option for multiple properties. You will need to manage each home separately.

Best regards,

Brad.
