Impact of Nest Secure sunset on Nest Protect

I have not yet seen Google address the impact of the Secure sunset on Nest Protect. Specifically, the problem is that many home insurance policies require professional monitoring of fire alarms. This will no longer be possible for the Protect once Secure is gone. As far as I can determine, Protect is not compatible with any other professional monitoring service. ADT seems only to offer battery powered detectors, not an option for me. I purchased 4 Nest Protect devices within the past 4 years thinking I could depend on the advertised 10 year life span. Google, make good on your promises.

File a complaint with your state attorney general's office. And speak to an pro-bono class action attorney for breach of contract.

Google will only care about your plight if you pull $$$$ from their bank accounts.
