Keypad not lighting up!

The keypad numbers are not lighting up on my Yale lock. I changed the batteries. That wasn’t the problem. 

I can open and lock the door using the app but  with the keypad it’s not lighting up for my kids to unlock the door when they get home.

Never mind! I tried one more thing. I turned off the privacy mode and it works now.
