I purchased a Yale lock without a Nest Protect, not understanding I would need one. I have since bought a Nest Protect, but it is not pairing with the Yale lock. I successfully added the Nest Protect to my account and the light is green. However, my doesn't have a QR code (I removed the internal portion to see if it was under there, but that was not successful, I also checked the packaging I have). How do I get the Yale lock to pair with the Nest Connect?

Yes, I still need help with this. This has been a lackluster customer experience… I bought this lock so that I could manage a house hundreds of miles away and that has not happened yet. However, I have not been local to the problematic device for a couple of months. What troubleshooting steps can you point me to?
I see what you are saying. The Nest Connect should automatically pair with your lock ify our lock has been added to the Nest App like your Nest Protect has been. I see that is an issue if you do not have a QR code, but check out this page here from Yale on adding the Lock to the Nest App. You can also reach out to Yale support for assistance as well with pairing the lock.
