I installed my Nest X Yale lock in July and it has worked flawlessly from either the keypad or Nest app on my iPhone. A week ago I tried to use the one touch feature to lock the door when I was leaving and the keypad was unresponsive and wouldn’t lock. I searched the issue was and saw that the privacy mode on the app can leave the keypad non-responsive. I checked and the Privacy mode was on, so I turned it off. It seemed to work just fine after.
This morning I had the same issue with the keypad being unresponsive to one touch locking. I can use the Nest app to unlock/lock, but cannot lock or unlock from the keypad. I checked the settings on my app and the privacy mode is still off, so I’m at a loss as to why it’s not working. The only thing I could think of was it got very cold last night, below freezing. I don’t know if that’s common that cold affects operation. I can still use the app, but my neighbor can no longer use their code to feed my pets when I’m out of town.
What should I try next?
