Yale lock key offline after battery changes

After changing the batteries the lock is still off line.  What should I do if I am away

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Yale x Lock Key is offline after changing the batteries. I'm happy to help!

It's necessary to check physically the lock, you can try the following steps:

  • Re-insert Batteries: Double-check that the batteries are inserted correctly and securely.
  • Power Cycle the Lock: Remove the batteries for 30 seconds, then reinsert them. This can resolve temporary glitches.
  • WiFi Connection: Ensure your Nest Connect is connected to your home's Wi-Fi network. Refer to this article: How to update Wi-Fi settings on Nest Connect.
