Yale nest lock unlocking/locking randomly

My Yale Lock will randomly start to lock and unlock continuously for a random period in the day.  This is the 3rd day of these issues. The first time this happened it started to unlock and lock from 11:37am until 11:59pm.  It locked and unlocked 1,385 at a rate of 3 to 7 times a minute.  The next day it did that for 877 times from Midnight to 3:00am.  Today it started sending me alerts for locking and unlocking at 1:08pm and is up to 115 events.  Is this due to an IOS software update?

Per customer support, I have to be physically near the nest Yale door lock to reset it.  The lock is in Florida and I live in Indiana.  Not a good solution for a rental property.  The same has happened with the Nest outdoor video camera.  Power went out and the camera "forgets" how to connect to the router.  You have to re-connect it in person.  For those looking at these products for a property in another state, keep this in mind.

I think I will switch out my lock for another brand. My lock will autonomously lock and unlock hundreds of times in a short period and then jamb.

I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response here. Let’s sort this out — a few questions: when did the issue start? Is your Home/Away Assist setting turned on in the Nest app? Do you have family members in your account? Also, do you have a pending iOS update and your Nest app is up to date?
