Yale x Nest won’t connect after multiple resets

Hello, I have installed MANY of the Yale x Nest deadbolts over the years. Never once have I run into this issue, but of course it has to happen while installing one of these locks at my own house. Basically, even after many factory resets, during the ADD process into the nest app it prompts me to “press and hold the button - button will pulse blue and say ready”. When I hold the white button on the back side of the lock I get the 4 sounds that one would get when typing in the wrong passcode. I cannot for the life of me get this lock to connect to the app. Again, I have factory reset this thing numerous times. Wondering if the unit is defected…. The unit itself works great on its own….

Similar issue but I think issue is with the Nest Connect Module. I got a message disconnected from power and no matter what I do I can't get the lock to pair up.  The connect setting tech info says there is no power I have verified the plug works.  I'm starting to think the connect got bricked with a firmware update or the hardware has failed

Hi everyone,

@HellaToxic, thanks for posting and for sharing what you’ve done to have your concern resolved. Since you already reset the Nest x Yale Lock to factory settings and it still won’t pair when you press the button, please contact Yale for warranty options.

@aliasrocks, have you also done a factory reset for your Nest Connect and Nest X Yale Lock? If you haven’t done so already, follow the steps below.

  1. Press and hold the bottom button until the LED light turns yellow and then blue. This action should reset Nest Connect to factory defaults.
  2. To reset the Nest x Yale Lock, remove the battery cover.
  3. Remove batteries.
  4. Unscrew the two screws holding the interior lock.
  5. Remove the interior lock from the back plate.
  6. Hold down the factory reset button while re-inserting the batteries.
  7. Release the factory reset button once there are four beeps.

Here is a video guide on how to reset the Nest x Yale Lock.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Lance

yes I had done all the factory resets. Did it just same way 6 months ago when it worked. You can see I’m technically knowledgeable enough to get into the setting of the connect to see status of Line Power is off. But there was power.

I don’t think the issue is with the Yale lock but the Google manufactured connect. It is the device that is not acting properly. I purchased this set over 2 yrs ago.
