Lights randomly turn on, kinda creepy

So, we have 36 lights controlled by our Google Home.  They are all connected via the Smart Life app which has better color options.  We randomly will have a light come on all by itself. It's kinda creepy when it happens at night. You wake up in the middle of the night to see a light on in the kitchen only to find that no one is out of bed.  Any thoughts?

Hey there jon1,

That definitely is kind of creepy, even though it's perfect for the Spooky Season, I understand not wanting it to happen and am happy to take a look into this for you.

I would suggest unlinking the lights and relinking them to see if that helps to fix the problem.

Please let m know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

I'm finally reaching out for some input bc it's causing unnecessary arguments in my marriage...... We installed smart switches throughout our house a year ago and randomly our master bedroom light turns on at 5am. Hubby says at one time he set an alarm for this to happen but he deleted it months ago. We are frustrated getting woke up at 5am. I've scoured reddit and other forums and found similar problems but no resolution. Please help!

I have a theory that when we use the actual switch to turn off the light, that's when it randomly turns on. If we ask Google to turn off the light it doesn't happen. Not sure if this helps or makes any sense.

I have similar problem - my lights will turn on randomly throughout the day, and sometimes early morning.  It's annoying as I tell Google to turn the lights off, but I also get the "there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" response.
