I have several Google minis. One of them has stopped in the middle of a sentence while answering a question. It has a good connection to my Google router. What can I do to fix it?

Same issue here. Interesting that this is happening at a similar time as others. Would love to hear a fix.

I'm getting the same issue, which started about 3 or 4 weeks ago... Same issue, it seemed to only affect one device, now both my Google nest minis are affected. Resetting devices and routers doesn't seem to do anything.
02-17-2022 02:29 AM
Having the same issue also

Same issue, started 3 weeks ago, occurs on average once daily.

Same here

Hello, same problem here. Only have one Nest Mini, it's right next to my router, the connection is okay. It only started like two or three weeks ago and it happens almost on a daily basis (once I had to repeat my good morning routine three times!). I've rebooted and factory reset, nothing fixed is.
Can you please help?

Ditto. Same issue. Started a few weeks ago also. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lawsuit Google lost having to do with home speakers a few weeks ago.

I have 7 mini’s, all doing the same thing. In the UK. Started about 2 months or so ago. Nothing seems to solve the issue. I just assumed it had something to do with an update, and eventually Google would sort it out with another update. But it is getting to the point where it’s becoming worth considering another, far more expensive, ecosystem. The morning routine failing more often than not, isn’t acceptable. I truly do hope a fix is coming soon.

Having the same problem as well. 2 of my minis randomly stop mid-sentence. It's not all the time, but it happens frequently enough. Please fix
02-25-2022 10:11 AM
Still happening, even today I had to re-do my morning routine THREE times. Any solution?

Same problem here. Affected devices include original Google Home speakers, Nest speakers, Google mini's and Google Home Max.

Having the same issue.

4 weeks of this nonsense. Reset all my google home devices (version 1 and 2). Still won't complete phrases, searches, etc.. Called support they said post an example file. Not sure why they can't imagine what an incomplete sentence sounds like, and I don't have permission to post audio. So yeah fail.....
03-01-2022 06:51 AM
I really wish that someone from Google would respond to this topic since I'm sure there's thousands if not millions of users having this issue!!!
03-03-2022 03:48 PM
Isn't is pathetic that it seems the only way to bring this to Google's attention is to write a letter and mail is USPS?! There is NO reliable way to phone or email. If you think their posted phone number is real, it isn't anymore. You'll reach some independent call center in India and beware giving any personal information.
03-03-2022 06:02 PM
I did a phone call to support. Waste of time. Only work-around is to say "hey google repeat that"- and eventually it'll work. I'm guessing if enough people complain (like with the white noise loop thing..) they'll eventually listen. Though rumor has it they're always listening. 🙂

😆

Same problem here. Cuts just after the first sentence. E.g when asking about weather, I get "It's minus eight degrees and sunny there. Tod..."

I was having this problem yesterday with my Google home mini too. Kept stopping or cutting out mid sentence. If the sentence was long enough it would eventually start itself back up lol.
I disabled ipv6 connections in my router and that seems to have fixed the issue for now
03-08-2022 03:18 PM
Are there consequences in disabling ipv6 connections in router though?

My phone, google nest, 3 minis, and my android auto are having this issue. It's a software issue, not a hardware problem.
03-12-2022 06:07 PM
I'm sorry I don't understand.
All other software of mine works properly. Still just Google minis stopping mid sentence.
03-12-2022 06:35 PM
I wonder if we are all having this issue because of the lawsuit @User123456 lost. I really wish they would give use the respect and respond to us!! Here is the lawsuit article

Maybe the screwed up the software while removing this function???
03-12-2022 07:13 PM
Perhaps. The ruling dealt mainly with setting volume on multiple devices, and initial setup. It's very possible they unintentionally broke something in the code that is somehow related to completing phrases.
In the meantime, try " Hey Google- repeat that" as one work around. I also suggest to keep saying "Hey Google, Give feedback" ad nauseum throughout day and state the problem. I figure if we bombard them they'll eventually listen and hopefully fix it. If not, I'll cut my losses and start over with Alexa.
03-12-2022 08:10 PM
Alexa won't work with my new S21 😪

I'm having the same issues as everyone else. I have 3 minis, a tall Google speaker, and an alarm clock with Google built in. They are all doing this. Rearing them, and my asus router do nothing. Google needs to put something out to at least acknowledge the issue
03-13-2022 08:26 AM
Plus 1 on this same problem.
03-14-2022 05:54 AM
I like Obxa's answer. Let's all keep saying he Google give feedback then tell Google what the problem is. Maybe if we all do this several times a day for several days, it might get looked at. What do we have to lose?
03-16-2022 06:09 PM
Same issue here.
03-18-2022 01:14 AM
I have had this happening several times on both my google home mini (which is next to the router), and occasionally my google home. Both have been reset and unplugged - I also use the "repeat that" workaround. I like the idea of using feedback to try and get the message back to google.
03-19-2022 08:28 AM
I also have the same problem. I have 6 speakers in total (hub, nest etc) and ONE does not finish sentences. Dont all the reset etc. No change.
03-20-2022 08:37 AM
I'm having the same exact problem all this have reported here. Very frustrating!
03-20-2022 09:43 AM
Perhaps this issue is related to the new feature that Google added in which the assistant stops talking if it hears the word "stop"?
https://www.engadget.com/google-assistant-stop-command-114443492.html
03-20-2022 10:12 AM
Hi - I think mine stops regardless - even if there is no other background noise, or the response that google is giving does not contain the word stop either.
03-20-2022 10:33 AM
Agreed. What we do know is that a new software routine that makes google stop talking seems to have been released at the same time as this issue in which google suddenly stops talking. Very suspect to me!

Wonder if these forums actually ever get seen by anyone other than us community members?
RE: Noise. I've tried it in a perfectly quiet environment, makes no difference. We sleep with a fairly loud air cleaner in our BR which I first thought may of been confusing that device. Definitely not it. Also disabled the "continuing conversation" option also no help. Reset all my minis. Gen 1 and Gen2 , still all doing it. Tried disabling all my routines to see if there was a conflict- no change. Called "tech support" - circular conversation from someone reading from a script that was a total waste of time. As mentioned before, he wanted me to post an audio example. Which can't be done on these forums. I guess it's hard to imagine what an incomplete sentence sounds li................

I'm having the same issue. I have 3 minis and they've all been doing it since late last year. It's so frustrating. I've tried rebooting both my modem, router and the minis. Nothing works. It's gotta be a glitch with their recent update. If google doesn't fix it soon, we're switching to Alexa.
