Hey everyone,

I understand the ongoing frustration many of you are experiencing regarding the issue of not being able to play RTE Stations on TuneIn with your devices for some time now. Rest assured the team is aware of this issue and looking into this with our relevant partner. I know this may not be the answer you're looking for at the moment, but once we have new information to share, I'll update this thread.

If you haven't sent feedback, please do so by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," followed by the keywords: "GHT3 Unable to stream <RTE radio station> in TuneIn"

We appreciate your patience.

Cheers,

Muddi

I also have this issue (again) - it was previously reported and fixed last month. It affects streaming or casting RTÉ Radio on Nest Hub devices.

Hey folks,

Thanks for bringing this up.

We're sorry to hear about this. Has anyone here already tried performing a complete reset on their Google Nest Hub after experiencing this? We'd also like to check what are the other steps you've done so we can check on it further.

Looking forward to your responses.

Best,

Princess

I completely reset my display and my individual speakers and gave it a new Home name as if for first time. The speakers all updated themselves when I’d finished. I had to reinstall all my various smart plugs and reinstall all my 14 individual room temperature controls. It took a long time and it’s the 2nd time I’ve done it. I’ve tried every combination of how to word the request, including single speakers (all of them) groups including downstairs and all. Nothing works. I’ve used the reporting system within Google Home to send on the latest data about 3 hours ago. All this work and Amazon Alexa still works no fuss!

This is the recurrence of an issue that was fixed last month - see link to that thread in my earlier post. Please don't make us start this all over again...

I agree. It took 2.5 months to get this sorted the last time. Can we get a fix asap considering it looks like it has only worked for 1 month in the last 3.5 months.

I have the same issue, it happened last year, please fix this, I want to play RTE Lyric FM in the mornings!

I’d like to share my data but your instructions failed at step 4. What’s a tile? Do you mean icon at top right when app opened? When I touch and hold that there is no reaction. Please clear up your instructions and resend.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. Which Nest speakers are you having issues with? What command are you using to play RTE radio? Are other radio stations working?

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest speakers/ displays for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi Juni,

It's a Google Nest Hub. I have a Google Home upstairs which still plays RTE fine when asked.

Command I use: "Hey Google, play RTE Radio 1"

Google Hub response "Streaming RTE Radio 1 from TuneIn"

The logo for the station appears, as does the TuneIn logo but it doesn't play.

It appears to be across the RTE (national broadcaster) stations...I tried 2FM, RTE Lyric and RTE Gold.

Tried an independent, Newstalk FM, and it plays fine. This has been the case the last few times RTE 'disappears' on the Google Hub. What I don't understand is that it happens every few months.  Does this mean a fix hasn't been found previously and it just randomly, miraculously reappears??

Have tried your suggestion of unplugging the Nest Hub and the router.  No difference.

Look forward to a solution

Thanks

When I follow the link to the main thread it brings me back to this page?

Artee60

It affects all nest home audio capable devices in my house, the issues seems be tunein

markecock

Any updates, ETA on a fix?

Pbb

Hi,

This really is infuriating at this point. I cannot believe that engineers are looking at this still. Its the exact same issue as before, in the exact same country, using the same app and same devices.

It can't be rte nor tunein because it works perfectly on other google devices.

Please fix this or at the very least provide an update

Thanks

This issue is very frustrating.  Unable to listen to national broadcaster for weeks now yet again.  Loosing faith in Google support at this stage.

Any update in this? Works fine and consistently on Alexa.

Perhaps you could share why this keeps happening? Surely, if it has been fixed before the cause is known?
