Google streamer device no verified

CesarTobias
Community Member

On my Google Streamer, when I send a video from YouTube, I get the error: "No audio, verify device." This could be due to outdated firmware. The error is similar to what happened with the Chromecast Audio and 2nd generation a few days ago.

But it's happening on the new Google Streamer.

Any solución? Thanks

Hi CesarTobias,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand your Google TV Streamer (4K) is indicating the error: "No audio, verify device." when you send a video from YouTube. I know how difficult it is when your Google TV Streamer (4K) doesn't work as expected. I'm here to help! To gather some more details, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • Is the TV connected to an external receiver, soundbar, or speakers?
  • Do you use an HDMI monitor?
  • From which device are you casting? Is it a phone, tablet, or computer?

Please let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.

Best regards,
Juan

Thanks for your reply, but I made a mistake in the error description. The correct one is this:Google streamer device Could not verify - Google Nest Community

Also another person has the same error on a Google Streamer: Can't Cast to Google TV Streamer - Google Nest Community

Thanks

Hi CesarTobias,

Thanks for the detailed information. I can see you're getting the "Untrusted device" message on your Google TV Streamer (4K) when you send a video from YouTube. Let's work together to find a solution!

To isolate the cause of this inconvenience, I'd like to recommend performing a factory reset on your device. Here is how:

1. With the Google TV Streamer Voice Remote

  • At the top right of your TV screen, select your profile and then All settings.
  • Select System and then About and then Factory reset.

2. From the Google TV Streamer device

  • While the device is plugged in to the TV and powered on, press and hold the button for 10–12 seconds on the back of the device. The LED should start to blink yellow.
  • When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the device should then reset.

Note: This action clears your data and can't be undone.

Please keep me posted. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Juan

I did a factory reset and it doesn't work. The same problem persists

I'll add more details to my case:

I have an S23 Plus running Android 14.

On YouTube, the only way I can send is to play a video directly on Google Streamer beforehand. Open YouTube on my phone. I get a notification asking if I want to connect to it. I've attached an image.

If I cast to other apps: Netflix, Max, Crunchyroll, etc., it simply doesn't send anything. This also happens with other phones (which is why I think the problem is Google Streamer).

The Google Streamer firmware version is UTTK.241210.003

I'm not using a VPN. The Google Streamer is connected via Ethernet. I've already rebooted my router.

Thanks
