I've contacted my energy provider to unenroll and received a confirmation a few weeks ago. YET, my thermostat was still being controlled. Contacted Nest. After collecting all of my information, verifying that it was me, AND giving over control of my Nest to the agent, the call disconnected. I called back, spoke with someone briefly, was placed on hold, AND YET AGAIN, call disconnected. This time I was actually called back but I'm on hold for over 10 minutes AND still not unenrolled. Am I dense? Why is this taking so much time? And why can't the staff figure out how to simply unenroll me.

After an additional 15 minutes on hold, I was finally able to speak to someone who knew what to do. If you're experiencing the same issue, just immediately ask to speak with someone in "Community Partnerships". Only they can get you unenrolled - and in less than a minute. Others will attempt and only waste your time.
