Seasons Greetings everyone,

As the festive season approaches, there are so many plans to make. While the world gets back into a new normal, family and friends are starting to gather round the tree or menorah to reconnect. Let your Google Nest devices help you bring the joy back this holiday season.

Doorbell rings, are you listening?

The guests arrive and the carolers are singing, fa la la la la la. Oh wait, that’s not carolers at your door, that’s the wonderful sound of holiday ringtones. ‘Tis the season to greet your guests with festive sounds including Jingle Bells, Winter Sleighbells, Ma’oz Tzur, Hanukkah Dreidel, New Years Party, and more. Ringtones are available globally on the new battery-powered and wired Google Nest Doorbell*. Pair your Nest Doorbell with Nest displays so you can conveniently view who is at the door. Ringtones will be available in both the Google Home App and Nest App from Dec 1 - Jan 4th 2022. And don't forget to check out the holiday deals on the Google Store including $50 off the new Nest Doorbell (battery).

*Google Nest Doorbell (battery) requires the Google Home app and a Google Account. It’s not compatible with the Nest app or the home.nest.com site.

Sleigh the package delivery

Now you can fa la la along with your doorbell, when all your packages from Black Friday and Cyber Monday start to arrive. With the package detection feature on Nest Hello, (US only and Nest Aware subscription required), you will receive a notification when a package is detected.

No more worries if a package has been delivered when no one is home—now you’ll be aware and can make a backup plan, like enlisting the help of a neighbor. We know each front doorstep is unique like a snowflake, so you can draw an Activity Zone around the space where you would like your packages delivered. Get through the hectic holiday season with ease and fun tunes.

Decorate in style

Turn your decorating day into a decor dance party; play your favorite holiday tunes and show off your dance moves as you gather the family to join in. With the multi-speaker feature you can hear the music throughout the house with multiple Google Nest devices.

Who says family out of town can’t join in on the decorating fun? The Google Nest displays are a great gift for parents and grandparents that live out of town. They can use Nest Hub Max to video call and stay in touch for all special occasions.

Cook up some holiday cheer

Whisk up a Merry Christmas with a little help from your Google displays. Just say, “Hey Google, show me sugar cookie recipes on YouTube.” You can watch cooking videos on YouTube or listen to Google Assistant and follow step-by-step recipes. Check out this help article for more tips on cooking with Google Assistant.

Wishing you a merry and bright (light) holiday season,

The Google Nest team

The Holiday themes are not working for the Nest doorbells. I have tried everything to get them to work and still get the "ding-dong".

Well on same boat here like the rest. None of them are working. Is there any news on that @Leticia?

I use the wired Hello. When someone rings the bell and I'm away, all I see is a spinning circle. So I can't see video, or hear, and the visitor can't hear me. Useless unsupported product. May as well use a normal doorbell at a fraction of the cost. And my WiFi or mobile data aren't the issue before that's suggested. Rather than making useless features focus on fixing core functionality and making it fast first.

Hey everyone, apologies about the delay! Thanks for those sharing this is now working for them. For the other folks on this thread, could you let me know if you're still having this issue? If yes, could you specify which doorbell you have? Thanks!

Hi,

I just purchased the Nest doorbell battery and it suffer the low volume from the camera speaker when I use my Samsung Note 20 phone and all other Samsung devices at home.

This defect removes one of the key features offered by this camera and one I had intended to use frequently.

I look forward to hearing back from you,
Regards

@XPCOM  I'm not sure about all this.. all of our electronics should by now be working perfectly.. please explain more clearly..

So when I'm using my Galaxy Note 20 or others Samsung device to speak to the visitor, the volume from Doorbell is so low that the visitor cannot hear and understand. With Google hub Nest max and mini, there are no issue.

Google creates some great products, but buying them from Google's On-Line Store could be your worse buying decision.

The Google Store 15 day Price Protection / Return Policy is probably the worst in the industry.

Instead, buy your Google Products from a Trusted Retailer that appreciates your busness, complimented with a no-hassle 30 day Price Protection / Return Policy. Guarantee.

Is there a way to hear the Christmas theme music on the inside when the bell is pressed? Currently, only outside visitors hear the music.  Was it meant to work this way only?

BrandonLaMontCo

@TommyWojo  why would it be one of the worst buying decisions ?

TommyWojo

The Google Store has a 15 day Price Protection / Return Policy compared to most Retailers (i.e. Lowe's, Home Depot...) offering 30 days. In November, Amazon extended its Return Policy through January 31st.

@TommyWojo  nothing ever really tears up or wears out.. simply incompatible with the  consumers mind.. I'm telling you..

How do I prevent a admin from controlling my phone?

BrandonLaMontCo

@Ahmedhd  you don't.. you stay out of the way, while justice, revenge, vengeance and karmic law takes care of it.... it's not our problem

The printer is able to deliver prints at a speed of 18 pages per minute, which is impressive for an inkjet printer.

@hamza66  If the device is compatible with your WiFi router. their is no reason we should be having any problems.  And if your 'smart meter's ' we need to know more about the question. Do you mean electric Le meter provided by power companies and solar grid systems?

BrandonLaMontCo
Community Member

@Hoakieu  hey you what about yesterday.. talk to us what's happening over their?

BrandonLaMontCo

@hamza66  are you talking about electrical company and grid tie system monitoring devices
