I am trying to get my devices to do what Google says they can do in this article: Stream your security camera using your Google Nest display - Google Nest Help
I have recently installed a Nest Cam (battery) and a Nest Cam (wired). I also have a variety of Google Minis and Nest Minis as well as a 1st gen and a 2nd gen Nest Hub (not the Max).
If I use the touchscreen on either Nest Hub, I'm able to view a live stream of either camera. If I ask either Nest Hub directly "Show [camera name]", I'm able to see the streaming feed on that hub.
If I ask any other Google Home device (Assistant on my Pixel 7 Pro or any of the minis), I get this reply:
"Sorry, it looks like [camera name] doesn't support streaming to remote screens."
Beyond my nearly infinite level of frustration from having four separate Google and Nest Help technicians disconnect the call mid-stream and not call back, I'm simply hoping for a clear answer on how/why I cannot use the system as Google tells me to use it. What the heck is wrong?
All devices are on the same WiFi network (Google WiFi) and I even use DHCP reservations to make traffic/device management more consistent.

I'm just another Google Nest customer who regularly streams our cameras to our Nest Hubs using the touch screen or voice commands. However, I am not aware of any capability that would allow us to ask Google Assistant on one of our phones or on our Nest Mini to stream one of our cameras to one of our Nest Hubs. And I don't see anything on the "Stream your security camera using your Google Nest display" page that would even imply such a capability exists.

Then you must not have actually read the support articles because it not only indicates that you can do what I am trying to do but it provides the specific voice commands necessary to do it.

I did read "Stream your security camera using your Google Nest display". We CAN stream our cameras using the voice commands listed, as long as those commands are issued to a Google Nest display device, but there is no mention of issuing those commands to our phones or Nest Minis.

I tested again by asking one of my Nest Hubs to "Show [camera name] on [display]" and get the same result. I can offer the simple command to a Nest Hub "Show [camera name]" and it will work, but I can't use a Nest Hub to stream video from a Nest Cam to a different Nest Hub.

On one of our Nest Hubs, I just asked to stream one of our cameras on another of our Nest Hubs and it worked. On our Nest Mini, I then asked to stream another of our cameras on another of our Nest Hubs, and that worked too.
I guess Google Nest's documentation isn't clear enough to know what it is SUPPOSED to be able to do.
And I have no idea why it works for us and not for you. I'm assuming all of your Google Nest devices are in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

No luck here. Never even got a call back from Google Home support even after the nice person promised they'd call back within 72 hours
The message that comes out of any Google Home device is the same...that the camera doesn't support streaming on remote displays.

No. I have not received any emails or calls back. If you have attempted to reach out then my Pixel sent you to spam without alerting me. Frankly, Google support is just awful.

Hey chaosrain,
I'm sorry to hear that. Could you check your spam or junk folder to see if it went there?
Thanks,
Archie
