Changing the name of Nest Protect units

Hi. I moved to a new house and brought my Nest Protect smoke/CO2 alarms with me. I want to rename them to match the locations in the new house. I've followed one set of instrux on google website, but it doesn't seem to work. Ideas?

What steps have you tried? Would it be these ones? Do they not match what you see in the app? Are there any error messages?
