I reached out to customer chat this morning and was told my system is compatible and an email with wiring instructions would be sent but I never received it. Can anyone help. I have a Carrier Model 58CTW/CTY Furnace and Model 24ACB3/24CC6 AC. Thank you.

@jono428 ,
That looks like an Ecobee thermostat. The ACC+ and ACC- power an accessory like a humidifier. You need to identify what the ACC wires are powering so we can advise how to wire that accessory to the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Sorry, it’s a Carrier TP-WEM01 thermostat and yes I have a whole house humidifier.

Does the whole house humidifier have its own humidistat?

Nothing that I control independently. I just open the vent in the winter and change the filter.

@jono428 ,
can you follow the cable and see if the two wires both go to the humidifier? It is likely the Orange and the Brown wire will be cross-connected to a second cable going on to the humidifier. Can you possibly confirm that?

Thank you. Yes, I saw the response. I’m not sure how to go about following the wires so when I have more time I’ll take a look.

When I say follow the wires, I should have stated, go to the indoor air handler and verify the connections. Need to see where the Orange and the Brown wires are connected to

Here is a picture of what is running to the humidifier

That is just a water solenoid valve. Energizing that simply turns the water to the humidifier on.

Ok. Here's a picture of the inside of the air handler.

You have a 2-stage gas furnace. There should be a control board where the wires enter the cabinet. That is where the thermostat wires are connected. Since you have a Gas Furnace, you have a Duel Fuel system. Gas and Electric.
