IMG_9617.jpegThermostat has 2 wires. We have a C Connector but unclear where it needs to be installed. We don't have AC, only the wall furnace.

If it only has 2 wires, it's probable that it's not compatible. The best way to check is to use the compatibility checker.

It came back compatible if we installed the C Connector. The thermostat is working but comes back with no Wifi connection and and N260 error.

As for the N260 error, that means there's an issue with your C wire or the Nest Power Connector. To confirm, was a C wire installed or did you install the Nest Power Connector?

The Nest Thermostat. It is connected to Wifi now - just seems to connect and disconnect occasionally. We have purchased a the Nest Power Connector but have not installed it yet. We are unsure whether it installs on the Furnace itself or the Thermostat. We're not finding the control board on the Furnace.

If you've not installed a C wire or the Nest Power Connector yet, that's why you're seeing the N260 error.

Nest Power Connector - Google Nest Help

If your home has one thermostat, install the power connector at the furnace or air handler.

  • If there’s a control board, find the series of labeled terminals on it and install the power connector there.
  • If there’s no control board, which is common for heat-only systems, find the thermostat wiring and where it connects to the furnace.
  • If you have a zoned system with more than one thermostat, install the power connector at the zone controller.
